Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire Foster (Tina Fey) are a loving couple and have two kinds. They try dating each other every week though it does not add any romance to their life due to both of them being exhausted and burdened. After the divorce of two of their friends, Brad (Mark Ruffalo) and Haley (Kristen Wiig), they are scared about their marriage and future. Phil decides to add romance to their life by going to Manhattan’s hottest new restaurant for their date. However, they do not have reservation and thus enter the restaurant as the Tripplehorns who had a reservation but did not come. The Tripplehorns turn out to be thieves who have police after them. Now Phil and Claire have to save their lives along with their marriage. However, they eventually discover their love for each other.

Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist), a middle-aged investigative journalist who writes for the magazine Millennium, loses a libel case against corrupt Swedish industrialist Hans-Erik Wennerström (Stefan Sauk) and is sentenced to three months in jail. Before beginning his sentence, Blomkvist is hired by Henrik Vanger (Sven-Bertil Taube), the aged former CEO of a group of companies owned by a wealthy dynasty. Vanger wants him to solve the disappearance, thirty-seven years ago, of Vanger’s great-niece when she was sixteen. Vanger is convinced that the girl was killed by someone in his family. Blomkvist is ultimately helped in his quest by Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace), a young punk who has been victimized or misunderstood by those in authority throughout her whole life, but who is also a brilliant computer hacker and has a photographic memory. The unlikely couple become a classic detective pair.

Also, Hamlet's friends Rosencrantz and Guildenstern (Steve Zahn and Dechen Thurman) are duped by Gertrude and Claudius into an attempt to betray Hamlet, who is trying to find out how his father really died.

His disorder takes a turn for the worse when he wakes up and finds himself covered in blood with a knife at his side and the police banging at his door. In a panic he hides the evidence and then learns from the police that Ann (Kelly Overton), wife of his best friend Justin (Tim Draxl), was found stabbed to death. Marcus is terrified to put together the pieces of how she might have been murdered. A series of mysterious phone calls make him believe that someone is watching him. Desperate to figure out what happens after he goes to sleep at night, he investigates his own nocturnal activities. His quest for the truth ends in a shocking revelation.

The teens are aided in their search for fame by their teachers, including dance instructor Ms. Kraft (Bebe Neuwirth), vocal coach Mrs. Rowan (Megan Mullally), and music teacher Mr. Cranston (Kelsey Grammer).

Bazil (Dany Boon) wants revenge. His target is a large corporation that manufactured the landmine that killed his father on a military mission and, if that is not cause enough, the same company that made the bullets that severely wounded Bazil, an innocent victim of a drive-by shooter. With one bullet embedded into his brain, Bazil has some disability with speech, and the pressure of the ammunition on his cortex could be causing his emotional turmoil. At the least he is suffering psychologically. He targets the company executive Nicholas Thibault de Fenouillet (Andre Dussolier) and Francois Marconi (Nicolas Marie) who are not exactly innocent victims. But, Bazil assembles a motley crew of eccentrics to help him carry out the mission.
