A man in mid-life with no life devotes his energy to following the New York Giants football team. Living with his mother (Marcia Jean Kurtz) at age 35, Paul Aufiero (Patton Oswalt) is the opposite of the athletes he worships. Fat, dumpy, purposeless, he is an addict, obsessed with his football team. Without funds, he can only experience the games by television near the stadium and calls sports radio shows. Misinterpreted by his favorite Giant Quantrell Bishop (Jonathan Hamm) as a stalker, he becomes a victim of his favorite player in an inadvertent assault, which in no way changes his loyalty to Bishop who faces suspension and a lawsuit filed by others.
