The money train is an action-comedy buddy flick that follows the story of two brothers who plan to rob… you guessed it, a ‘money train’. Although, the plot seems simple enough there are things that are revealed early on in the movie: The brothers aren’t actually brothers, they are foster brothers; the train is actually a subway train that has daily cash from subway patrons; and these would be robbers are actually cops. The brothers from different mothers , John (Wesley Snipes) and Charlie (Woody Harrelson), have a close relationship. Highly reminiscent of the chicanery from “White Men Can’t Jump” Harrison’s Charlie is full of get rich now schemes and Snipe’s John is there for his brother when he proposes a heist of money subway train. . Both brothers are attracted to a beautiful Latina love interest, Grace Santiago (Jennifer Lopez), who is also a cop. Naturally, matters become more complicated as testosterone flies and action ignites as the brothers go for the booty, competing for Grace’s affections, attempting to rob the money train and all while a serial subway arsonist is on the loose.
