Animals United (German: Konferenz der Tiere) is a 2010 German animated film directed by Reinhard Klooss and Holger Tappe and starring James Cordon and Stephen Fry as a meerkat and a lion in the fictional African Okavango Delta who go on a quest to discover why their river has unexpectedly dried up. The film also stars Dawn French and Joanna Lumley as an elephant and a giraffe and Jim Broadbent and Vanessa Redgrave as giant tortoises. A group of animals waiting for the annual flood they rely on for food and water discover that the humans, who have been destroying their habitats have built a dam for a leisure resort. The animals endeavor to save the delta and send a message to the humans not to interfere with nature.
