Lee Ray Oliver, (Ray Liotta) an inmate on death row, is given a chance to take part in an experimental mind altering drug trial. Dr. Michael Copeland (Willem Dafoe) has created the first ever drug to actually change the way a person thinks and responds to everyday life. Dr. Copeland gives Lee Ray Oliver the chance to take part in his experiment. In return, Lee Ray Oliver will be abled to be free again if and only if he can overcome his aggressive behavior. Lee Ray Oliver must under take many physical changes along with mental changes in order to be released from jail and under the care of Dr. Copeland.
