A young woman returns to the island home of her childhood, taking her boyfriend along for support: a place that harbours very unhappy memories for the young woman. Twenty years ago scientific researchers unwittingly set off a parasite that decimated three quarters of the island's population. But all is not what it seems and the couple soon find themselves trying to outsmart an entirely new strain of the organism...
