Jess (Sarah Michelle Gellar) has just had her life turned upside down. Her husband Ryan (Michael Landes) and her brother in law Roman (Lee Pace) are involved in a freak car accident that leaves them both in a coma. Things become complicated when Roman wakes up, thinking he is Ryan. Jess is left to cope with the pain and confusion of all that is facing her, but after a time she begins to wonder whether Ryan's spirit has emerged in Roman, or if there is something even more evil going on. Is Roman's confusion simply a result of head trauma from his car accident, or is there something more to the story?
