Narrated by Erik Thompson, this National Geographic documentary explores the known 42 assassination attempts on the life of Adolph Hitler. While the fascist dictator was spreading war across Europe and murdering Jews, homosexuals, gypsies and others, this film details the various plots and the people who were trying to kill him in so many different ways. They were not only officers and men in his military, but some ordinary Germans and even women. With the information contained in documents that have been recently declassified, and with the help of modern experimentation and security experts, this film fascinates as it recreates how the various plots were planned, why they failed and how they might have succeeded with just a bit more luck or slight alteration of the plan.
