When Sir Clifford Chatterley (Shane Briant) is badly injured and rendered impotent in an accident, Lady Constance Chatterley (Sylvia Kristel) finds herself driven by physical passion she is unable to reconcile with her love for her husband. In an effort to release her sexual tensions, she takes the estate gardener Oliver Mellors (Nicholas Clay) as her lover, forming a passionate triangle that she must keep in delicate balance.
