This story, based on real events, explores the secret world of Japanese organized crime, called the Yakuza. Young Naoki is a failure at school, work and in his personal life and is caught up in a wave of juvenile delinquency. His mother, driven by shame and despair, is reunited with an old friend who offers to introduce her son into the ranks of the Yakuza. Naoki’s news boss takes him under his wing. The Kumagai crime organization, confronted by new trends facing Japan, feels that the Yakuza is being edged out of modern society. Divided by loyalties to his mother and to his new "family," Naoki will have to choose between the light and the dark.

Set in the 1930s, the story involves a Romanian linguist, named Dominic (Tim Roth) who is depressed about the state of his life. He plans to kill himself, but his plans go awry when he is struck by a bolt of lightning and ends up recovering in a hospital. Suddenly, things begin to change for Dominic as he inexplicably begins to grow younger. Some years pass and Dominic finds himself in Switzerland, he is the subject of study by soldiers of the Third Reich. A German spy named Veronica (Alexandra Maria Lara) resembles one of Dominic's long lost love and he quickly becomes enamored with her. Veronica herself finds herself in a strange situation when she is struck by lightning and begins to grow older. Dominic's fascination with Veronica grows even more when she begins speaking dead languages, which interests him very much as a professor of linguistics.

Set in Chicago, advertising executive Matthew (Josh Hartnett) is at a restaurant when he sees a woman that looks just like a girl he had a relationship with, Lisa (Diane Kruger). Two years prior, Matthew and Lisa had a romance but when Matthew asked her to move away with him, she vanished. He has been obsessed with her, and after seeing her in the restaurant, he follows her. He meets her only to discover that Lisa is another woman with the same name (Rose Byrne). Matthew and his friend, Luke (Matthew Lillard), investigate the mystery. This woman claiming to be Lisa turns out to be an actress named Alex. Luke is dating Alex, unbeknownst to Matthew. Alex turns out to have been Lisa's roommate and has been obsessed with Matthew. In the end, Matthew and Lisa meet up in a restaurant and hug and kiss.

What Love Is

He gets plenty of relationship help from his friends (Matthew Lilliard, Sean Astin, Anne Heche) who don’t always help that much because they have too many issues themselves.

As he prepares to do this he uses the wedding of a big star from Central Asia, Yonnica Babyyeah (Hilary Duff) as a cover for his operation. When Brand finds himself head over heels for a beautiful reporter, Natalie Hegalhuzen (Marissa Tomei), things become a lot more complicated for him.

Freaked out, Alberta quits the job giving no notice and hightails it to Vancouver, where her sister Celine (Tricia Helfer) lives. Celine works as a dominatrix who makes good money at her job. Celine allows Alberta to stay with her for awhile if she pays her own bills. When a job as a retail clerk doesn't work out for her, Alberta is desperate for another way to earn money. When Celine is off with a john, Alberta comes across videos of some of Celine's paying clients. She figures she can pretend to be a dominatrix for a day just to make the rent money. So she arranges a meeting with a pleasant seeming man named Paul and meets him at the food court in the mall. But when she goes to Paul's house, a trio of hoodlums attack Paul, shouting that he owes them $500,000.

They spend the rest of their days in the countryside, telling stories to each other, and sharing memories of happier times. One serial killer has become a headache for the FBI as this killer performs the murders in public, for a live Internet audience and yet remains untraceable. This serial killer uses ludicrous ways to kill the victims. One of the victims is stripped naked with his legs encased in concrete. He is surrounded by sun lamps, and a live-streaming image is posted on the website killwithme.com. The viewers are then informed that the number of hits the site gets will accelerate, or slow down, the heat to which the man is exposed. The more people log on, the faster he fries. The killer coerces the thrill-hungry public to participate in an act of public murder. Inevitably, the site is jammed with viewers and everyone who watches is a murderer. It’s a fiendish scheme that an FBI cyber-crime agent, Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane), and her partner, Griffin Dowd (Colin Hanks), must unravel. A local cop Eric Box (Billy Burke) too joins them to assist them, but the cunning villain has made his website untraceable. Indeed, any attempt to crack it gives the killer the name and location of the investigators, who instantly find themselves on the killing list. While Marsh is trying her best to trace the killer, she is forced to do all she can when she comes to know that the next victim could be her mother Stella Marsh (Mary Beth Hurt) or daughter Annie Haskins (Perla Haney-Jardine). Now begins a deadly chase to trace and catch this serial killer, who was till now, untraceable.

As much as she enjoys her new friend, word comes from Gilda's anonymous control that her next victims must be a Frenchman and his girlfriend, who turns out to be Lin.

Though Daniel assesses Eli's preaching as that of a charlatan, nonetheless Eli serves as a mirror into Daniel's soul. Daniel begins to see the course of lies, trickery, deceit, and nihilism that his life has devolved to and begins to re-examine his place in it.

Since the base is limited in the number of hiding places, the killer wears a ski mask and begins to stalk the investigating officer while killing off other members of the community. Her friend Dr. John Fury (Tom Skerritt) lets her know that a major blizzard may cause evacuation of the base, and her time to catch the killer grows short.
