Split in many kingdoms, the state of Zhao is waging war upon the city of Liang. Ge Li (Andy Lau) is a mysterious warrior from the Mo-Tsu tribe, expert in defensive warfare. He offers help and hope to the besieged citizens of Liang and time after time defeats the attackers by using his superior skills and clever tactics. He wins affection and admiration from almost everybody in the city, including Prince Liang Shi (Siwon Choi). The King of Liang however (Zhiwen Wang) is jealous of Ge Li's success and orders his arrest under a false pretext. As the kingdom of Zhao is not yet defeated, fate of the city hangs in the balance...
