"The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down" takes a unique look at young men and women's adventures in sex and love and how to achieve these things. The film is set up as a how-to guide on attracting the opposite sex, employing a chapter-by-chapter approach to fully explain the process. These chapters have titles that include “Carnal Knowledge” and Getting In”, and give details on things such as the difference between girls’ and boys’ views of sex and intimacy and the typical environment for such interactions to occur. The plot relies on no particular character to carry the story; much of the important information is carried by the voice-over narration.
