“Hot Rod” is the story of a self-proclaimed stunt man Rod Kimble (Andy Samberg). Kimble is preparing for the most daring spectacle and important jump of his life; Kimble plans to clear fifteen buses in an attempt to raise money. Hearts cost money and that’s just what he’s raising the money for, his abusive stepfather Frank Powell (Ian McShane) needs a life-saving heart operation. Not heeding any warning from his friends like Dave (Bill Hader) and family Marie Powell (Sissy Spacek) his mother not to mention those who want to see him fail, Kimble will make the hump help his stepfather and fight him all in the same day.
