Mega-Cities stand as the lone remnant of humanity in the year 2139 AD. In order to combat rampant crime, Judges play the role of judge, jury and executioner all rolled into one. Judge Joseph Dredd (Sylvestor Stallone) has the reputation of being the toughest and strictest judge in Mega City 1. He is ultimately tried and convicted of a murder which he did not commit as the result of DNA evidence. Judge Dredd, with the help of computer hacker Fergie (Rob Schnieder), must get to the bottom of the conspiracy and somehow take down a former Judge turned psychopathic killer, Rico (Armand Assante).
