It's 1980 and break-dancing is in full effect. Justin Schumacher (played by Jamie Kennedy) hits his head whilst performing in a talent show. This unfortunate event sends him into a coma for 20 years. He awakens to find that life has changed dramatically since his accident. He must struggle to regain his life and adjust to the new world he's confronted with. Not only that, his parents are in severe financial crisis due to years of mounting medical bills and his long time girlfriend Jennifer Stone (played by Maria Menounos) is about to marry his arch enemy! Now he must re-assemble his troupe of dancers to help save his parent's livlihood and regain the love of his girl.
