“House Party 3” is the third installment of the Kid ‘n Play teen comedies of the early 1990s. The film’s plot revolves heavily around the engagement of Kid (Christopher “Kid” Reid) and his girlfriend Veda (Angela Means). While Kid prepares to settle down, his lifelong friend Play (Christopher “Play” Martin) is still up to his old tricks, managing rap groups and trying to make it in the music industry. But when his most promising group drops him for another manager, Play’s world is rattled. In addition to working to resign to star rap group, Play must plan Kid’s bachelor party and handle the general chaos that ensues when Kid’s ex-girlfriend Sydney (Tisha Campbell) shows up. The boys’ antics are guided by the loveable Uncle Vester (Bernie Mac), and everyone gains some valuable life lessons.
