Megan (Shoshana Bush), a dancer for her entire life, dreams of getting into Julliard and making a career out of dancing. While auditioning for the school, her mother is killed in a car accident. Megan is forced to move to a new city to live in a condemned apartment building with her father, and has given up dancing since her mother's death. She is enrolled in school, and she quickly makes some new friends. Tracy (Chelsea Makela), Charity (Essence Atkins), and Thomas (Damon Wayans Jr.) dance in a street gang and show Megan some of their moves. When Megan and Thomas begin falling for each other, she is convinced to dance with them in a dance contest that will award the winners $5,000. Will the new friends be able to come together and win the prize?
