In a futuristic America, the draft has been reinstated and three friends receive their notice to report for duty. Aaron (Elijah Wood), feels that he must do his duty and serve, enlisting the help of an exercise machine that’s falling apart and therapist Dr. Reynolds (Ally Sheedy). George (Chris Klein), a corporate attorney, does not want to fight in a war he doesn’t believe in. He wants to stay with his wife Molly (Ginnifer Goodwin), a cancer survivor. Dixon (Jon Bernthal) is a cabdriver with no fears and no doubts, but when he falls in love with Patricia, (Elizabeth Moss) a sociology student, he finds that things aren’t as black and white as they used to be. The day for each man to report draws nearer, and together, they struggle with the notions of right, wrong, and honor.
