Love ‘n Dancing tells the story of Jake Mitchell and Jessica Donovan. Jake (Tom Malloy) is a former world swing dancing champion who feels that some of his wins were handed to him by overly sensitive judges, because of his deafness, and is now a motivational speaker and dance teacher. Jessica (Amy Smart) is a middle school English teacher who once has aspirations of Broadway and fame, but is now stuck with a workaholic fiancée (Billy Zane) with uncaring students and administration. They meet at a school assembly, and Jake begins to give dancing lessons to Jessica and Kent, but when Kent ignores her for his job, they begin to grow closer to each other and decide to compete against all odds. To make matters worse, Jake’s former partner Corinne (Nicola Royston) decides that despite her engagement, she wants Jake back.
