Notorious recounts the origins, rise, and ultimately untimely death of Christopher "CJ" Wallace, Jr aka Notorious BIG. From a troubled childhood in a drug filled neighborhood in Brooklyn to a short stay in prison, Christopher had nothing to lose and everything to gain. After a meeting with mega producer Sean ‘Puff Daddy’ Combs (Derek Luke), Christopher realizes that rapping is his calling. All of his successes soon come with devastations as his mother soon becomes ill and his former rapper friend Tupac Shakur (Anthony Mackie) ignites an all out East versus West war which is the direct cause of many unfortunate deaths including their own.
