Ananias (Adrian Paul) and his wife Eleanor (Frida Show) Dare are among the first English colonists to flee their homeland and to settle in America in the late 16th century. They make their camp in small costal settlement in present day North Carolina and live somewhat happily as they adjust to the new world. Then they begin to find members of their camp being gruesomely murdered by ancient spirits who haunt the area. Ananias who is now in charge of the camp enlists the help of some Native Americans who inhabit the area as well, so that they are able to rid themselves of the evil ghosts.
