Mike (Matt Long) was living the good life - he was the quarterback of the town's football team, and in this small town, football is everything. After graduation, he receives a scholarship to Northwestern University and goes away to school. He surprises everyone in town when he comes home for Christmas with city girl Elizabeth (Jiessica Stroup) on his arm as his new girlfriend. Mike's ex-girlfriend Shelby (Mischa Barton) is especially surprised and distressed at the news. When a freak accident puts Elizabeth at Shelby's mercy, Shelby will stop at nothing to win Mike back. Will she succeed to win Mike back, or will things end badly in her quest for his affection?
