During a holiday weekend on a hot August afternoon, three strangers from different backgrounds are crammed inside an elevator. Tommy (Armie Hammer), Claudia (Amber Tamblyn) and Karl (Aiden Gillen) are in a dire state to be at their destination when an unexpected misfortune befalls them. In a deserted building the three are trapped in a dark elevator that had stalled abruptly. As time slowly passes by, knowing that no one is in sight who is able to rescue them, panic and tension soon build up. In their desperate attempt to free themselves from the harrowing situation, they discovered that one person among them is known to be a psychopathic serial killer.
