Laura Porter (Danielle Savre) has a wildly uncommon fear, fear of the boogeyman himself. Her life long paranoia stems from the childhood trauma of watching her parents die at the hands of what she believed was the boogeyman. Her brother Henry (Matt Cohen), having also witnessed the murder, struggled with a similar fear of the boogeyman but worked through his fears to graduate from therapeutic treatment. Trying to face her fears, Laura checks herself into a mental health facility under the care of Dr. Jessica Ryan (Renee O’Connor). The boogeyman steps out of the shadows to torture Laura, along with several other patients debilitated by their own phobias, and they find out how dangerous facing their fears can really be.
