Movie star dog "Rexxx" appears deceased after an accident on the set of a commercial shoot. Accidentally winding up homeless, he is eventually found on a blazing roof by a firefighting father to a troubled and rebellious boy named Shane. Discovery of the dog's talents not only land him a prize position as a fireman at 'The Dogpatch', but inevitably makes his previous handlers aware of his location... and they want him back.
