Megan Valentine (Jessica Simpson) is a very naive, romantic-comedy type actor who is having a down turn in her life. She finds herself alone, unemployed, and the audience doesn’t like her anymore. Her boyfriend is cheating on her, her money is blown in the wind, and after she is involved in a car crash she decides that her life can’t get any lower than this so she enlists herself to the United States Army. During basic training at an army boot camp, she is under the command of Sergeant Louisa Morley (Vivica A. Fox): a very strict, but deep down very compassionate, drill sergeant. Megan decides that she will overcome the difficulties and prove once and for all that she is not the naive girl everyone thought she is.
