Brian (James McAvoy) is a new student at Bristol University. He is drafted to be a contestant for his school on the popular game show "University Challenge." If he can get his first question correct, he can get ten total questions without a challenger buzzing in to take the question away. Having not one, but two attractive teammates makes it that much more distracting for Brian to adjust to college life and excel in the game show. But with wit and humor, Brian manages to do what few college men have been able to do before. And he is only in his first year.
