An American family, the Newman’s go on a holiday safari in South Africa in the hope of getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and learning to relax in the wilderness. (Tom Newman) also happens to be looking at a possible business prospect when his family go on a safari drive. (Amy Newman), Toms wife and (Jessica Newman) and (David Newman) all witness the ranger being mauled by a lion in front of them and are stuck in the landrover with the keys being in the rangers pocket. The lions are waiting for their prey to come out in the open. Tom realises his family is missing and conducts a search for them with the help of a big game hunter called Crawford.
