Returning to the UK, soldier Danny Byrant finds that the society he left behind is rapidly going to the dogs. People live in fear of the criminal elements that pervade every part of their daily lives. No one is safe. Disillusioned with the law and the police force that has failed to protect them, a band of vigilantes begin to band round Danny, determined to bring justice and order to a society in dire need of help. Can Danny really succeed where the police have failed? Have the police really failed or are they in league with the enemy? As the public become the law makers lines begin to blur. Who decides what is justice in a world close to anarchy?
